40th Curonian Spit RegattaThe 40th Curonian Regatta is taking place in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea waters.  One of the Regatta’s routs suppose to cross the Russian Lithuanian border to the Kaliningrad region.  However, the sportsmen were stopped on the maritime border and denied an entry to the destination yesterday.

The organisers explained that such a sort of incident took place for the first time since the Regatta begun.  The organisers were following the usual procedures for the application’s submission.  The rules appear to be the same only the Russia’s attitude is changing.
