Vidmantas Urbonas had to abandon his race across the Baltic Sea, for a moment

Due to the worsening weather condition Vidmantas Urbanas had to abandon this race across the Baltic Sea. The waves in the sea are already 2,5m and are expected to rise to 3m. It is dangerous even for the yachts to wait until the weather conditions will improve. The temperature of the Baltic Sea water is also dropping to the dangerous level for the sportsman to swim safely. Hence the crew had to seek a shelter and is on their way to the Latvian port of Pavilosta. Mr Urbonas is still hoping the he will resume his race after the storm.See more…
