Lithuania invites Latvia to join the SweLit, an electricity grid planned to be built between Lithuania and Sweden

The electrictricity grids

The Lithuanian Minister of Economy invited his Latvian counterpart to join him on his trip to Sweden in September the Lithuanian business Verslo Žinios announced.  The Minister announced that he invited Latvians to join the SweLit project which should link Swedish and Lithuanian electrical grids.Lithuanians had also invited Estonia and Poland to join in the SweLit project but there has been no any reactions yet. 

It should be noted that the Baltic States already has some experience in a similar enterprise since the three countries participated in the building of the EstLink electricity grid which united the Baltic countries and Finland.  The EstLink already linking the Baltics and Finland.
